Project: Transire,  “Oblivion” Serie

Transīre

The global project Transīre consists of an explicit parallelism between reality and metaphysical worlds in the true meaning of Aristotelian “beyond what is physical”. So, the author represents the world of sleep: Onirycs, the boundary between earthly and otherworldly world, the limbo: Oblivion, and finally the afterlife Traspassing.
All of these exist in the human mind and imaginary. To perceive the visual photo description, we must therefore allow ourselves to be lead by a mental process that goes through the reality, as the latin verb, which constitutes the title of the project, suggests.

The author in this project, in contrast to the previous collections, leaves to the title itself the evocative power of the intrinsic meaning of the project and let the images flow with the precise choice of giving different titles to all of them.

The representation of these worlds takes place through a metaphorical representation, so the photography starts from the narrative and the realism but it refers to those metaphysical worlds: Here than Onirycs, Oblivion, Traspassing.

Oblivion

Since the primitive and ancestral culture, man has always associated the parallelism between the earthly life that is precisely on earth, and the presence of God, various gods, or however of a greater force or a cosmic mystery, that is associated with heaven and cosmos.

The reality, described by 4 photos , is therefore an example of most high dimension a man can attempt to approach the cosmos: the slopes of Etna volcano.

Oblivion is therefore the boundary on earth, the place where human beings of flesh and bones (further reflections in next collection, Traspassing) must stay, after having “chosen” this dimension cause of expulsion from Eden, even if they always try to go back with the tension of the spirit…
