Project: Transire, “Traspassing” Serie

Transīre

The global project Transīre consists of an explicit parallelism between reality and metaphysical worlds in the true meaning of Aristotelian “beyond what is physical”. So, the author represents the world of sleep: Onirycs, the boundary between earthly and otherworldly world, the limbo: Oblivion, and finally the afterlife Traspassing.
All of these exist in the human mind and imaginary. To perceive the visual photo description, we must therefore allow ourselves to be lead by a mental process that goes through the reality, as the latin verb, which constitutes the title of the project, suggests.

The author in this project, in contrast to the previous collections, leaves to the title itself the evocative power of the intrinsic meaning of the project and let the images flow with the precise choice of giving different titles to all of them.

The representation of these worlds takes place through a metaphorical representation, so the photography starts from the narrative and the realism but it refers to those metaphysical worlds: Here than Onirycs, Oblivion, Traspassing.

Traspassing

One of the emblems of sacredness, of mysticism and of human spirituality is undoubtedly represented by Hindu city of Varanasi, the mystery and magic of the Ganges.
The author therefore has chosen this sacred place to represent, through 15 photos of a sunrise on the Ganges, a transposition of the afterlife.
So, here we find the journey of souls between the darkness of death and the light of the final destination.
Souls travel, allegorically transported by Charon, mythological figure of the classical era, witnessing that, beyond particular specific believings and religious cults, there is a common denominator in spirituality.

Traspassing is therefore a trespass and, at the same time, a spiritual tension to a place of afterlife, which mind and human body cannot access to.
And the word Traspassing does not exist.
